Digital Product License Agreement

This License Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of any digital template purchased from The Scenic Studio, a brand of Leilah Claire Creative, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By purchasing, downloading, or using a template, you ("Licensee," "you") agree to the terms below. This Agreement works alongside our Shop Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy — where the two overlap, both apply; this document governs your specific rights to use the files themselves.

1. Grant of License

Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the template for single business use — either your own business, or one (1) client's business if you are purchasing on behalf of a client.

This license does not transfer ownership of the template, its design, or any underlying intellectual property to you.

2. Permitted Use

You may:

  • Use the template for the single business it was licensed for

  • Customize the template's content (text, colors, images you own the rights to, etc.) for that business's use

  • Hire a designer to edit this template for you

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Resell, share, distribute, sublicense, or give away the template files — in original or modified form — to any other individual or business

  • Use a single license across multiple clients. Each additional client requires its own separately purchased license.

  • Claim the template design as your own original creation, or represent yourself as its designer

  • Use the license for any business other than the one it was purchased for

  • Share, distribute, publish, or repost any free templates, freebies, or tutorial/instructional content (including screenshots or recordings) provided by The Scenic Studio, whether paid or complimentary

4. Client Use

If you are purchasing as a business, agency, designer, or VA on behalf of a client, this license covers that one client only. Using the same purchased license for a future or additional client is a violation of this Agreement — a new license must be purchased for each client the template is used for.

5. No Refunds

All template purchases are final. No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations are offered due to the instant, digital nature of these products.

6. Ownership & Intellectual Property

The Scenic Studio retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the templates, including all associated designs, layouts, and copy, except where otherwise licensed to you under this Agreement. This license grants use rights only — it does not constitute a sale of intellectual property. Some content of the templates/freebies has been created with generative AI.

You are solely responsible for the copy, images, personalization, and any other content you add to your website/posts/brand/templates, as well as your final brand design and anything you ultimately publish. There is no trademarking assistance available.

As part of our process, every Client is required to replace template text and photos and add their own personality and content. Accordingly, The Scenic Studio is not liable for the final published website/post/brand/template, its content, appearance, performance, or any outcomes resulting from Client's own submissions, edits, copy, images, or design choices.

7. Termination

Violating any term of this Agreement automatically terminates your license. Upon termination, you must stop using the template immediately. We reserve the right to revoke access and pursue legal action for unauthorized use, including but not limited to reselling, unlicensed multi-client use, or public sharing of freebies or tutorial content.

8. No Warranty

Templates are provided "as-is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee specific results, outcomes, or income from use of the template.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with our Shop Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and The Scenic Studio regarding your use of purchased templates, and supersedes any prior understanding not stated in writing here.
